Microsoft officials have announced that Windows 7, Server 2008 / R2 and Small Business Server (SBS 2011) will put and end to security updates, bug fixes, and support for all these operating systems in January 14, 2020.

To ensure the safety and secure information systems working environment can be established for student, faculty and staff, please update your operating systems before March 2nd, 2020. Computer and Network Center will cooperate with Ministry of Education for campus server vulnerability assessment to help reducing the potential weaknesses.

If the threat is discovered, the computer(s) posing a threat will be blocked from network access and the block has been put in place it will not be removed until your system has been sufficiently addressed and up-to-date.
